Essentials You Need At University

Going to university is a big step in a young adult’s life. It can get hectic and confusing to the point where you don’t even know what you have and what you need to pack. We have curated a list of the top five essentials that everyone needs during their time at university; whether it’s your first year or your fifth year. 

Scissors

Although it may seem silly to remind people to bring scissors, you’d be surprised how often they are overlooked and then needed greatly. Scissors are a multi purpose tool. Need to cut a tag off something? Scissors. Need to cut a pizza and you didn’t bring a pizza cutter? Scissors. Need to give yourself a haircut? Scissors.

Travel-Sized Umbrella

Unless you go to school in the desert (some people do) you should bring an umbrella with you. You may think you will never need to use one but your mind will change during the first rainstorm and you risk getting soaked on your way to chemistry. 

Keyboard

A good quality keyboard can make all the difference when you start writing papers and complete homework assignments. Like mentioned above, dorm rooms are usually very small and compact. Where are you going to put all the junk you just had to have in this little space that you share with a stranger? Your answer is utility hooks that come off the wall after use with little to no damage to the paint on the wall. Hang up all the things you don’t have room on your desk or shelves and watch your room fall into place just like you pictured in your head.
